My latest experiment was a breakthrough—my device lost power and created an aberration in the signal, while every other part of my transmission was cancelled as has been the case in my previous experiments, the blip came through.  I will now attempt to engineer additional aberrations in such a way that I can re-create the original signal embedded within itself.  This is like trying to design sound that defies noise cancellation.
